A trip down the 'Memory Lane'

With the country racing towards development and adoption of the western culture, we are leaving behind our values, our ethics and most importantly our FOOD. With the incoming of new western dishes in the market, we have forgotten the taste of our desi food that used to be so comforting back in the days. (weeps)

But here is a good news for you guys, this place is bringing back our invaluable memories by serving us pure desi food at a really cheap price. The best part is that it also gives you an option of a getaway from the busy hustle of the city as it is located at approximately an hours drive from Delhi.

So, before you get an anxiety overload, here we present you the famous (trumpets rolling)
 "AMRIK SUKHDEV DHABA":-

Yes, this is what this amazing restaurant looks from the outside. Although, it may seem like there are a ton of people inside but trust us this is non-peak hours time. You have to be really lucky (sorry, Hungry) to get a seat here as soon as you reach.
So, the best advice we can give is that start early, the mob really starts to gather around lunchtime i.e. after 12 noon.

Moving on to the main objective of this blog "FOOD".

In the world of food, the famous saying 'Action speaks louder than words' does not work. Here a little modification can be made "Pictures speak louder than words" is the perfect version. Before I go around babbling about the heavenly, dripping, delicious, buttery goodness, I'll let you have a look.

EXCUSE ME! Don't salivate at your screen, that's bad manners.

Served fresh out of the tandoor. these hot paranthas have the best company that any food could have.... "BUTTER". The amazingly delicious white butter melts as soon as it touches the surface of the parantha to make the parantha taste better. (Oh my god- You selfless butter!).
When was the last time that you did something so selfless?

Accompanied by the sidekicks known as 'Pickle', 'Vinegar dipped Onion' and 'Green Chilli' just forms the perfect heavenly combination that bursts out with flavour as soon as it steps into your mouth, making you tempting to have more and more....and more.....more (OK now I'm full).

The restaurant has a ton of dishes to offer that you can easily find on the menu (honestly, finding a menu is way easier than finding a seat here). But the best and the most famous dish are the 'Paranthas' that you just saw above. Aloo (potato), Pyaaz (onion), Gobhi (cauliflower), Paneer (cottage cheese) and many other options are available to choose your dream parantha from. Other options include Continental dishes, Chinese, South Indian, Deserts like Jalebi (why is my mouth watering?), shakes and what not.

PRICING:
As mentioned earlier, this restaurant is very economically priced with Paranthas ranging from Rs.55-80 which are quite fulfilling. Pricing at such low rates is also one of the major reasons that so many people find their way to it for late Sunday lunches and brunches.

Location: Amrik Sukhdev, NH-44, Haryana, India
Timings: The place is open 24 hours.

With the addition of a guesthouse on the same premises, one can really enjoy it as a good weekend getaway and return back with a calm and relaxed mindset.
